The Ukulele is the ideal community instrument, coming into its own when played 'en-masse', bringing enjoyment and smiles to everyone within earshot. We want everyone who wants to, to have the opportunity to enjoy and play this fun and engaging instrument.

As You Ukes 'n' All, we regularly run jamming sessions in the village of Farncombe, near Godalming. Our jamming sessions are led by the You Ukes Band.
Currently, we have jamming sessions at the White Hart on the 2nd (mostly) Wednesday of the month. These are 'All Instrument Jams', but ukulele's feature very prominently! Click here for dates.
We occassionally run other Jamming Sessions as well.

If you can't join us, maybe you can jam along with our friends at:
Ukejam - Sundays, Fortnightly
Unplug The Wood - Every Tuesday
Vic's Ukulele Jam - Monthly, Weds.
We run regular Nine-Week Ukulele Workshops for Beginners and Beyond Beginners. These structured sessions will introduce you to some basic (and more challenging) chords and some simple rhythms. You will also learn to play eight or nine songs in each Workshop Series, which you can then jam along to at our You Ukes 'n' All Jams.
We are also planning to run regular Half-day Intensive Workshops for Improvers. These structured sessions will introduce you to more challenging chords and complex rhythms. In some workshops, we also cover simple arpeggios and basic riffs. As with the beginners workshops, you will also learn to play three or four songs which you can then jam along to at our You Ukes 'n' All Jams.

You Ukes was founded in 2014 as a Birthday present for Shirley Wardell from her husband David Faraday. Shirley had recently started to learn the ukulele and she wanted to be in a band. The first step was to find some more uke-players, so the You Ukes Club was founded (See
Get Surrey). In spring 2014, Shirley played her first gig with her husband and her new found 'ukulele-friends' from the You Ukes Club at the Bull's Head Cider Festival in Rake. More gigs followed: the Godalming Borough Hall, the Normandy Scouts, by early 2015 Shirley was ready. She approached the White Hart Pub in Farncombe and our regular Jamming Sessions started giving Shirley the chance to peform with her band on a regular basis.
